Pritchard Cemetery (Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, NY.) sometime in October 1824.

THOMPSON: He was born near Londonderry, Ireland about 1750 and emigrated to
the Pennsylvania Colony about 1772. He served for more than six years in
the Continental Army. He was a soldier under Benedict Arnold in the Quebec
Campaign, marching with him through the Maine forrests. And at the battle of
Quebec under Arnold's command, fought his way into the streets of Quebec.
He served afterwards under General Washington, Greene, Wayne and
Sullivan. He was engaged in the Battle of Slonmouth, Trenton, Germantown,
Brandywine, etc. Was with General Greene in the South Caroline Campaign and
with General Sullivan in the Indian Campaign and was in line at the surrender of Cornwallis.
He was an expert rifleman. Soon after landing he purchased farm near
Philadelphia and married a young lady, an emigrant from Germany. She carried
on the farming operations alone during his absence in the Army. He was
granted 640 acres of land by the Continental Congress for his military
service. He afterwards sold his land for about $100.
The village of Scipio, New York is built upon a portion of this tract.
There are a number of his heirs living in this vicinity. His grave was
never permanently marked and it's location in the Old Cemetery is not known.
The third Revolutionary soldier buried in the Old Cemetery, name unknown
was a man who worked at the distillery on the Dodge farm, died there and was
buried as "Unknown"
Alphabetical Record of the Graves in the Pritchard Cemetery, Old
Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, NY (northside of Corning, NY), compiled by
Mrs. Frank Starr about 1937, from the markers there standing and from
fragments scattered over the ground. These fragments are in the barn on
the Starr property for safe keeping.
