OSWEGATCHIE
ST. LAWRENCE CO NYRespected Brother;
according to your wishes i will write a few lines to let you know that
we are all well as common.We have waited very impatient for a letter from you ever since Eunice
came home but have not recieved any yet. Eunice begins to think she
shall never hear from you again but we are hoping for you now that you
can come down heare. Eunice mentioned to Trow about getting her a little
whell but she has got one heare of Mrs. Estabrock. Mr. Estabrock is
going away the first of February or sooner if he can and wants Trow to
come or write what to do with the farm. Tell Trow i hav not ben to
Scroon yet, I heard some rather discouragin news from there the next day
after he started so I almost wished myself with him but i have to work
out a little heare. Moses and I have made a colpit and sold it so I
earnt about 14 dollars sinse he left. I heare Jason and the other boys
have got home but cannot get thare pay til thy have thare returns from
thare lumber.It is dul times heare theare is not much else goin oon but weddings
thare has not ben but three coples married sinse he left here but thare
is another cople agoing.I guess i have wrote as much as you will want to be bothering with so i
will close my letter by subscribing my self your well wishing brother

was called then settling on a farm in Blockville,or Ashville, Chautauqua
Co NY . he married Celsa Wilcox of that village, and they raised 13
children.The farm is on SPOONER ROAD, Ashville,NY and still is occupied.WING SPOONER, BORN NOV 11 1806, Ogdensburg New York
