Ideas from Cousin Carol
As you make plans to attend the Bacon-Spencer Reunion consider including
a visit to the Potter County Historical Society Museum and Genealogical
Center on Friday. It is located across from the Post Office on Route 44
in Coudersport. (Check out some of the other interesting attractions
in the area. http://stayonroute6.blogspot.com/2011/05/wellsboro-pa-to-smethville-pa-on-us.html#comments
The Historical Society has 10 rooms of collections of items from Potter
County's past including a hand carved mechanized amusement park with 365
figures and a wealth of resources for research. The Historical Society
will be open from 10:30 am - 4:00 pm Friday for tours or research.
I plan to be there and would be happy to see that you get a tour, help
find answers to questions about your family or the history of the area.
Afterwards plans are to go to a local restaurant for supper. Let me know
if you are interested or would like more information. makofka@aol.com.
