Letters of the Civil War
These letters were transcribed & book written by Chuck & Peggy Strickland members of PHGS.
The Book has over 80 letters that Sergeant Francis
Strickland wrote home to his wife in Red House NY during the Civil
War.
It shows the personal side of the war for one Union soldier
from the 154th New York Volunteers.
The book has stories about many people living in Redhouse
and around surrounding parts of Cattaraugus Co. Chautauqua Co.
into Erie Co. and Bradford PA. Its a wonderful book for
anyone living around these parts to have. Its full of information and has
many photos added.
