Lottie Charlotte Frankel opened her eyes to the world for the first time July 9, 1929. Born to the late Charles and Addie (Burges) VanDelinder in their home in Sonora, NY. Lottie grew up with eight siblings.
In 1947 a tall slim soldier boy by the name of Kenneth Paul Frankel swept her off her feet. They were united in marriage on August 1, 1947. In 1948 Lottie gave birth to their beautiful baby girl, life had just begun, only to be taken away four months later with the death of their first born.
Donna Mae Frankel, has been with the Lord 67 years and never forgotten by either parent. Their lifelong dream was to hold her again. Kenneth walks in heaven now with his little girl since 2005 awaiting the arrival of Lottie, so their everlasting life and love will live on forever once again, 67 years later. Celebrating her 86th birthday July 9th, Lottie said goodbye to many friends and family at a special birthday party given with love by her grandson Brad.
July 18, 2015 she closed her eyes for the last time on this earth, and made her final wish, she now holds her little girl. Lottie was a hero to many, the strength she showed during the last four months of increasing, devastating pain, due to bone cancer, could only be described as heroic. She was always trying to show a smile through the tears. Lottie was a mom, grandma, sister, friend, homemaker, caregiver and now an angel.
She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Frankel, brothers, Bill and John VanDelinder, sister Mable Champlin and one great great grandchild Hunter Indelcato.
She is survived by two sons, Louis (Connie) Frankel and David Frankel, daughter, Tammy (Lewis) Kaszewski all of Bath, NY; four grandchildren, Sherry Young of Dundee, Brad (Christy) Frankel of Corning, NY, Summer (Pat) Wilson of Savona, NY and Holly (Kyle) Mangiagli of Corning, NY, 8 great grandchildren, Emily Rider, Armon Frankel, Lindsey Peterson, DeShonn Frankel, Jeremia Forgartey, Olivia and Jake Wilson and Elijiaha Young, 2 great great grandchildren, Kole Peterson and Brielle Peterson, sisters, Josephine Wilson and Mary (Theron) Stone and brothers, Pete, Oscar and Roger (Denise) VanDelinder and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Friday July 24, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the North Urbana Baptist Church with a memorial service following at 5:00 pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Lottie's name may be made to the American Cancer Society |
