I'm looking for my wife's Father's 2nd Great Grandfather. His name was Oliver P. King. My only reference to him is the 1850 Federal Census.
I cannot find an earlier or later reference to him, or the names of his Father/Mother.

There are many Kings in the region, and some unsubstantiated leads that may have him coming from Canada or Pennsylvania, and others that may take him to Ohio during/after the Civil War.

If any of the members have anything to add that might shed light on this mystery, please contact me.

This line also has connections to the Halletts, Powells, Dawsons, Whitwoods, Kents, Whites, and Greens, all from this region, all ancestors of my wife's dad.
