Hornell, N.Y. — Clarence F. Kull, 104, of 1117 state Route 21 (Almond Road), passed away Saturday (Feb. 23, 2013) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Bath, surrounded by his family.
Born in Wellsville, Nov. 21, 1908, the son of Christian and Clara Shafer Kull, he had resided in Hornell almost all his life. Clarence attended Hornell High School.
He served his country during World War II as a member of the Army Air Force from 1942-45.
He was the owner and operator of West End Motors on Almond Road, specializing in auto sales and service. He was a member of the Hornell Moose Lodge.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Helen; as well as his brothers and sisters, Walter, Robert, Merle “Jack”, Altha, Irene, Florence, Rosina, Pauline, Dorothy and Marion.
He is survived by his son, Thomas (Lynda) Kull of Hornell; his granddaughter, Kristen Kull; as well as several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Barbara (Red) Flint, of Hornell, and Missy (Scott) Rast, of New Jersey.
Honoring Clarence’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. A memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
