ANDOVER - Virginia A. Milligan, 63, of 22 Rochambeau Ave. died Sunday (Oct.1, 2000) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

She was born March 31, 1937 in North Bingham, Pa., a daughter of Landis and Dora Talbett Kibbe.

On April 20, 1957 in Andover, she married Kenneth Milligan who predeceased her on Dec. 14th, 1994.

She was a 1954 graduate of Andover High School and graduated from business school in Elmira. From 1955 to 1960 she was employed at Air-Preheater of Wellsville. For many years Virginia took care of many area children in her home. For over 15 years she had been employed as a postal clerk with the Andover Post Office. She was a member of the Andover First United Methodist Church and had been church organist there for many years. She was a former Andover School Board member.

Surviving are three sons, George (Donna) Milligan of Duncan, Okla., Guy (Brenda) Milligan of Wellsville, and Monte (Glenna) Milligan of Andover; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two sisters, Rev. Thana Kibbe of La Fargeville, N.Y. and Eleanor (Joseph) Clarke of Holly Springs, N.C; one brother, Clarence (Shirley) Kibbe of Wellsville.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mulholland-Swan Funeral Home, Inc. in Andover. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Andover First United Methodist Church with its Pastor Ray Shaw, and Pastor Osceola Wharton of the Wayland First United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be a Hillside Cemetery in Andover.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., PO 96911, Washington, D.C. 20090-6911, or to the Andover First United Methodist Church or Andover Volunteer Rescue Squad.
