Canaseraga, N.Y. — Sandra J. Hoffman, 68, of Co Rt. 13B, passed away Sunday (Sept. 11, 2011) at Noyes Memorial Hospital.

Born in Whitesville, Sept. 28, 1942, the daughter of Samuel E. and Frances (Gordon) Wray.

She had resided in the Canaseraga area all her life. Sandra was a graduate of the Canaseraga Central School and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canaseraga American Legion. She had been a hairdresser out of her home, loved bingo, scratch-off tickets, shopping, gardening, crafts, people and her dog, Precious.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Bernard F. “Pete” Hoffman in 1974; as well as her daughter, Amy S. Hoffman in 1990.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Tim) Neth of Arkport, Bernard (Mike) Hoffman of Canaseraga, and Jennifer Hoffman of Hornell; 10 grandchildren, Sheila, Stacey and Adam Kromer, Shantel (Sean) Drury, Joseph, Tyler and Derek Neth, David Martin, Justin Hoffman and Jordan Cline; four siblings, Mary (Raymond) Hoffman of Angelica, Jeanette (William) Jones of Springwater, Darlene (James) Barros of Prattsburgh, and Samuel (Laraine) Wray of Hunt.

The family is being assisted by Adam E. DuBois, director.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St., Hornell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Canaseraga Cemetery.
