PUBLIC CEMETERIES.
Another burial-plat, much used by the early settlers, was given for this purpose on lot 32, by Nathan Crook. At least forty persons were here interred when its use was abandoned, and it is now a cultivated field.
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE WHEREABOUTS OF NATHAN'S BURIAL PLOT?
I have reason to believe that some of my Burdick ancestors may have been buried there, they intermarried with the Crook family. Does anyone know the actual years it operated? |
