Mary A. Kaminski, loving mother and grandmother
OLEAN - Mary A. Kaminski, died Tuesday (Sept 8, 2009) at The Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Olean after a short illness.
Born May 1, 1922, in Olean, she was a daugher of the late Michael and Teckla Strucker Kosinski. On Oct. 25, 1947, in Olean, she married John B. Kaminski Sr., who died April 1, 1979.
A lifetime resident of Olean, Mary was a memeber of Transfiguration Church. She enjoyed gardening, bingo and crafts.
Surviving are two daughters, Theresa (Bob) Pierce and Annette (Robert) Ensell, both of Olean; a son, John B. (Pamela) Kaminski Jr. of Sardinia; eight grandchildren; John and David Pierce, Nicholas, Andrea, Alexandra and Abigail Kaminski, Ray and Stacy Ensell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her jusband, she was predeceased by five brothers, Andrew, Valentine "Willie", John, Frank and George Kosinski; and six sisters, Helen Kosinski, Angeline Convey, Josephine Kosinski, Sister Valerian (Rose) Kosinski, Sister Cecilianne (Anna) Kosinski and Edna Egnaczak.
The family will receive friends on Thrusday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean, Funeral services will be held Friday (Sept 11, 2009) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Transfiguration Church. Father Barry Allaire will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegnay.
A Scripture wake service will be held Thursday evening in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
