Almond, Feb. 10 1890:-Mr. Wm. Voss, of this village, died Thursday, Feb. 13, after an illness of several months durations. His age was 62 years. He leaves a wife, three sons and a daughter. He has been engaged in the shoe business for Richardson & Co., several years, employing a number of men most of the time. A charter member of the Equitable Aid Union. He was a Christian and always interested in any temperance cause. Mr. Voss will be sadly missed at Almond. The funeral was held Sunday the 16th, and largely attended by friends and relatives. His remains were interred in the Scio cemetery.
He was all that life demanded,
A noble man, so kind and true,
A faithful husband, a loving father
And a friend esteemed by all he knew. |
