MARRIAGE
DIANA FULMER BECOMES MRS. WILLIAM L. DAVIS
BATH - Miss Diana Lynn Fulmer of R.D. 4, Bath, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Wallace Fulmer of the Emerson Road and Mr. William Leroy Davis of Savona, son of Mr. And Mrs. Arthur Davis, same address, were married April 4, 1981 at the Bath Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald Hillyard.
A double ring ceremony was performed in front of the altar which was decorated with bouquets of white snapdragons, daisies and yellow centers and babies’ breath.
The bride chose as her matron of honor, Neta Robertson of West Washington St., Bath. Her bridesmaids were Kelly Davis of Savona, sister of the groom, Carol Fulmer, sister of the bride of R.D. 4, Bath and Theresa Shaffer, a cousin of Dansville.
The best man was Earl Sanford of Corning and the ushers were the groom’s brothers, Doug, Mark and Corey Davis, all of Savona.
The bride who was given away by her father wore a floor length dress with a fitted bodice and full bishop sleeves. Chantilly lace appliqués enhanced the sleeves, bodice and full skirt. A chapel train enhance the back of the gown. Her veil ensemble was completed with a mantilla edged in chantilly lace.
Her bouquet consisted of blue daisies and apricot carnations and babies’ breath.
Miss Stacey Obrachta of Rochester acted as flower girl and Brian Crane a ring bearer.
The matron of honor wore a full length blue taffeta gown with matching hat and carried a single blue carnation with babies’ breath.
The bridesmaids wore full length apricot taffeta gowns were matching hats and carried a single apricot carnation and babies’ breath and the flower girl’s attire was that of the bridesmaids.
Following the wedding, upon leaving the church wedding party rode around Bath by a team of ponies owned and driven by Dean Stewart. This was a wedding gift to the newlyweds.
The receptions was held at the Bath Grange Hall for approximately 200 guests. The reception was hosted by Donna McClennan of Bath.
As for the Wedding trip, it remains in the planning.
The newlyweds will reside at 99 Beartown Rd., Painted Post.
The bride is a 1979 graduate of Haverling Central School, Bath and is currently unemployed.
The bridegroom attended the Savona Central School and is employed by the Westinghouse Lamp Division at Bath.
Out of town guests attended from Buffalo, Hamlin, Corning, Dansville, Savona, Rochester, Himrod and from the local area.
