Letha Alda (Crosby) ROBERTS (Obituary)
Letha C. Roberts, 89, of Coudersport died Saturday (Dec. 25, 2004) at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.
Born Nov. 6, 1915 in Inez, she was the daughter of Herbert and Vernice Reed Crosby. On Nov. 20, 1937 in Coudersport, she married William L. "Bill" Roberts, who survives.
Letha was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Class of 1933. She had been employed for many years as a clerk for North Penn Gas Company in Coudersport. She had also been employed by Citizens Trust Company and with the office of the Register and Recorder in the Potter County Courthouse. Letha was a member of Park United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Coudersport New Century Club znd Eulalia Chapter #148 Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Lynne Roberts Barnes of Cumberland, MD; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; her brother, Lynn Crosby of Port Allegany; two half-brothers, Howard Crosby in Florida and Walter Crosby of Cincinnatti, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Retha Campbell; and two half-brothers, Lonnie Crosby and Wayne Crosby.
Friends may call at the Fickinger Funeral Home, Coudersport, on Wednesday (Dec. 30, 2004) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. John _aney will officiate. Burial will be in Homer Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Park United Methodist Church, 15 E. Third St., Coudersport, PA 16915.
