3/18/2005 - Coralyn C. Gustafson, 83, of 513 Weeks St. died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday (March 17, 2005) in WCA Hospital. An area resident for most of her life, she was born July 4, 1921, in Conneautville, Pa., the daughter of Howard P. and Clennie M. Penfield Corey.
She was a 1939 graduate of Falconer High School. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the office of Dr. John Voltmann. In earlier years, she had worked for the office of Dr. King, the law offices of Coyle Boyd and the Jamestown Automobile Club. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion Auxiliary for more than 50 years.
Her family will remember her as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to be around family and friends. She loved to cook, do crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, enter contests and loved to spend time gardening. In earlier years she enjoyed her time spent golfing and bowling.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James R. Gustafson, whom she married April 21, 1951; two sons: Thomas J. Gustafson of Burlington, Vt., and Daniel C. Gustafson of Falconer; and three granddaughters: Claire, Jessie and Eve Gustafson, all of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale B. Corey, who died Jan. 20, 1985.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Gregory W. Hager, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home where an Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion Auxiliary memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
