Eva RESSLER

3/17/2005 - JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Eva A. Simpson Ressler, 81, of Anniston Road, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Westfield, died Saturday (March 12, 2005) in her home. She was born April 11, 1923, in Westfield, the daughter of Harold and Linnie Lehman Simpson.
A Jacksonville resident since 1996, she was a 1941 graduate of Westfield Academy. She owned and operated the former Cove Restaurant and Bar on Route 5 for many years. She had attended St. James Major Roman Catholic Church of Westfield.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Dotson of Jacksonville; two sons: John J. Ressler of Ocala, Fla., and James R. ''Jamie'' Ressler of Westfield; five grandchildren; two brothers: Richard ''Dick'' Simpson of St. Petersburg, Fla., and James T. Simpson of Westfield and Florida; and a sister, Norma Jean Swartzott of Cheektowaga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Ressler, who died March 18, 2004; a son, Theodore ''Ted'' Ressler; and a sister, Marjorie Scholton.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield. The Rev. Daniel Young of St. James Major Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Westfield.
