The marriage of John A. Lapp and Mary Teresa Clancy occured Thursday, Oct. 5th, at the church of St. John the Baptist in Chicago, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Father Gelinas. The bride was attened by her two sisters, Charlotte and Ella, and was given in marriage by her father, Inspector Wiliam P. Clancy. Joseph M. Lapp, brother of the groom acted as best man.
The bride was dressed in hand embroidered cream white satin trimmed with Irish Lace. She wore a tulle veil trimmed with orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids wore white marquisette over pink messaline and carried pink roses. The little niece of the bride, Margaret Mary Sweeney, acted as flower girl and carried pink rose buds.
A family reception and wedding supper were given by the bride's parents at their home, after which the bridal couple left for a trip to Western New York for a short stay among relatives and friends.
They will reside in Indianapolis, Ind., where Mr.Lapp is the chief of the state legislative referenace department.
