: JESSE A. SWAIN
: FRIENDSHIP-- Jesse A. Swain of RD 1, Castile, died Wednesday (Dec.17, 1975) at Newport Richey, Fla., after a brief illness.
: He was born May 7, 1895, at Alfred a son of WILLIAM & ELIZA BROWN SWAIN. In Belfast, July 27, 1927, he married the former Gladys STEPHENS, who survives.
: Mr. Swain had been a diary farmer until 1952. He was then employed by Perry Knitting Co., for 15 years, retiring in 1967. Since then he has been employed by the Lucas Ruler Co., in Silver Springs. For the past three winters, the Swain's have resided in Newport Richey.
: Surviving in addition to his widow, are a daughter Mrs. (Barbara) Donald BLIVEN of Portville; three sons, William Swain of Portville, Gerald Swain of Castile and Robert Stephens of Portville; 12 grandchildren; a brother Victor Swain of Dansville; two sisters Mrs. Glenn (VIVIAN SWAIN) COOPER, and Mrs. (JOYCE SWAIN) CALHOUN both of Cuba, and several nieces and nephews.
: Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, 50 E. Main, Friendship from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral and committal services will be held there Tuesday (Dec 23, 1975) at 2 p.m. The Rev. Erford Daniels, pastor of te First United Methodist Church will officate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship
