|(JOHN) EDWARD SWAIN DIES IN ANDOVER
: Services Will Be Held Wednesday Afternoon for Aged Resident
: Edward Swain, lifelong resident of Andover, died at his home there this morning following a long illness. He was 84 years of age. (no date on article, but from birthday this would be about 1940).
: Mr. Swain was born March 17, 1856 in Andover, a son of JOHN AND PHILENA BAKER SWAIN (Misprint in paper states mother as Matilda) He was married many years ago to DORA WOOD.
: Deceased is survived by two sons, GEORGE SWAIN of Wellsville and FRANK SWAIN of Erie, PA and a brother ELMER SWAIN of Hornell
: Services will be held at the Mulholland Funeral Home in Andover, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Helena Champlin of the Andover Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be made in Hillside Cemetery
