Ednabelle Branneman (as spelled) Weds Harold L. Newton.
Miss Ednabelle Brenneman, daughter of Lawrence Brenneman of Richburg
(Wirt Tshp., Allegany, NY), will become the bride of Harold L. Newton, son of
Mrs. L.A. Newton of Kossuth (Bolivar Tshp., Allegany, NY), this afternoon.
The wedding will be performed at 4 o'clock in the Methodist Episcopal
parsonage here. The Rev. Arthur Partington, pastor, will officiate. Attendants
will be Miss Blanche Brenneman, sister of the bride, and Glen Newton,
nephew of Mr. Newton.
Following the ceremony the couple plan a short wedding trip in the northern
part of the state.
Pre-nuptual events included a dinner party and shower held at the home of
Mrs. D.M. Brenneman in Bradford, PA, Friday evening. There were 28
present, including the following out of town guests: Miss Edna Sharrow, Mrs.
Bearier Benson, Mrs. Ola Kitelinger and Mrs. Elmo Johnston of Kane, PA;
Mrs. Wilber McKinsey of Ludlow, PA, and Miss Jane McKinsey of Clarion,
Tables were arranged for five hundred and prizes were awarded (to) Miss
Florence McCutcheon and Mrs. Bearier Benson. Bingo prizes were awarded
(to) Miss Jane McKinsey and Miss Edna Sharrow.
NOT IN NOTICE: Brides parents were Lawrence Bertrum & Claire Elizabeth
(Sharrow) Brenneman. Groom's parents were Thaddeus Edgar and Louise
Ann "Lulu" (Smith) Newton. Harold [7/7/1912-10/22/1993] and Ednabelle
[10/28/1917-6/14/1970] had 3 children: Constance Viola, Barbara Kay, and
