Former Richburg Young Man Wedded Michigan Girl.
A very pretty November wedding occurred Thanksgiving evening at the home
of Mr. & Mrs. Roscoe Wilson on East street, when their daughter, Eva, was
united in marriage to Donald Thomson Lester of Richburg, NY, says the
Morenci, MI, Observer of Dec. 1. Forty-five relatives and friends of the
contracting parties witnessed the ceremony. Rev. S.N. Oliver, pastor of the
Congregational church, officiated, using the Episcopal single ring service.
...(misc. service stuff). She was attended by her sister, Miss Verginia (as
spelled) Wilson... The groom was attended by Reed Hunt of Detroit, a
college classmate. At the close of the ceremony the guests were invited to
the billiard room, where a three-course buffet supper was served.... (more
misc. stuff) ...Mr. & Mrs. Wilson, parents of the bride, and Mr. & Mrs. J.
Herbert Lester, parents of the groom.
Mrs. Lester is a graduate of the Morenci high school, and also attended the
Glen Eden school in New York. Up to the time of her marriage she held a
responsible position with the Wakefield State bank.
Mr. Lester is a graduate of the U. of M. and is now in the employ of the Joel
Stockard Co. of Detroit as bond salesman.
Mr. & Mrs. Lester left the same evening for Chicago, and on their return will
reside at 621 Forest Avenue, Ann Arbor.
Guests from away were Mr. & Mrs. J. Herbert Lester of Richburg, G.F.
Wilson of Bridgeton, RI, Mrs. George Whitney of Alaska, Misses Florence
and Mary Bryant and Reed Hunt of ?Detroit?, and Miss Ruth Tallman and
Edward Bowers of Toledo.
NOT IN NOTICE: Groom's parents were J. Herbert and Louise (Thomson)
Lester who had 1 known child: (1) Donald Thomson Lester b. 3/2/1898 -
possibly in Richburg, Wirt Tshp., Allegany, NY. I do not know if Donald and
Eva had any children.
