THE BOLIVAR BREEZE Th. 9/9/1926 p1c5
A notable event in Wellsville and Richburg-Bolivar society took place
Saturday at 1 p.m. when Miss Dorothy Ward of this city was wedded to Mr.
R.M. Brown of Richburg at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willet L. Ward on
Dyke Street. President Boothe Caldwell Davis of Alfred University officiating,
says Tuesday's Wellsville Reporter.
The immediate families and guests to the number of 48 were assembled...
(misc. stuff) ... followed by.... and the groom attended by Mr. Samuel
Shaner. Then from the east door entered.... the matron of honor, Mrs. Victor
J. Williams, and the bride on the arm of her father who gave her away. It
was a beautiful and impressive ceremony. After congratulations, the
wedding party and guests assembled in the large west wing of he house
where all were comfortably seated at tables for the wedding repast.
Since the engagement was announced at a dinner party on July 12th, ....
The bride is a favorite member of the younger set in Wellsville and the
groom a popular young oil producer of Richburg, who is also county agent
for the Jordan car.
... the bride and groom left by auto late in the afternoon for a fifteen day
honeymoon trip in Canada and Maine. The best wishes of a host of friends
go with "Buster" and "Dot".
Those present from out of town were....
NOT IN NOTICE: R.M.'s parents were R.L. (?Lymon?; "Lynn") and Roena
(Lester) Brown. R.M. and Dorothy had no known children as he died about a
year later.
