|Patricia J. Todd, 80, of Eldred, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 in the Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, S.D.
She was born November 7, 1927, in Eldred, a daughter of Myron Douglas and Helen Pierce Kelsey. On November 21, 1949, in Eldred, she married John G. Todd, Sr. who died March 20, 2005.
Mrs. Todd was a graduate of Eldred High School and attended Bradford Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her degree as a registered nurse.
Mrs. Todd had worked in nursing at St. Francis Hospital in Olean, N.Y., the Cleveland Clinic of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sena-Kean Manor, Smethport. She also co-owned and operated Todd Motor Sales of Eldred, Todd Dodge and Chrysler of Smethport and Todd Buses in Eldred.
She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Eldred, where she was treasurer and member of the choir, member of the Eldred Nurses Association, a social member of the Smethport Country Club where she enjoyed playing bridge, was a former member of the board of directors of the Misty Valley Health Center, former member of the Southern Tier Chapter of the U.S. Power Squadron, and was involved with the Girl Scouts.
Mrs. Todd was lovingly devoted to all of her family and to the Eldred community as a whole. She enjoyed playing cards, playing Scrabble, was an enthusiastic sewer, and loved traveling, and enjoyed life to its fullest.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane (Timothy) Eckel of Pine City, N.Y., Amy (Thaddeus) Wojcik of Eldred and Julie (Louis) Raymond of Rapid City; two sons; John (Pamela) G. Todd Jr. of Port Allegany and William (Mary) K. Todd of Eldred; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Susan Harvey and Judith (Wallace) Green, both of Eldred; one brother, Kenneth Larry Kelsey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and was a special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Myron Kelsey and one sister, Josephine Marrone.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 pm Friday at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc. 105 N. Main St., Port Allegany, and on Saturday in the United Methodist Church of Eldred from 10 to 11 am, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. David Heckman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
