Good Man Dies
William W. Eaton Passes Away At Home of His Son In Colesburg
Tuesday night William W. Eaton Died at the home of his son Clarence in Colesburg.
Last fall, while visiting relatives in Port Allegany, he was taken suddenly with a mental derangement, since which time he has been gradually losing strength. His faithful wife cared for him alone in their Coudersport home as long as it was possible for her to do so, when together they went to his son's home where he died. Deceased would have been sixty-five years old next month. He was a good industrious honest man. Mrs. Eaton's maiden name was Sophronia VanWegen. Many years of their married life was spent in Andrews Settlement and there at one o'clock this afternoon the funeral was held under the direction of G.H. Grabe & Son and was attended by many old friends and neighbors. For the past ten years Mr. and Mrs. Eaton had made their home in Coudersport and whenever they are known they have the respect and confidence of people.
He is survived by his wife and three children, one daughter, and two sons, Clarence and William, who is in California. |
