W. L. Chrisman, M.D.[/b], was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on
December 9, 1834. He was the son of John and Sarah (Evans) Chrisman.
He came to Elred in 1860 and was in the medical practice until 1876, He
embarked in the oil business as a producer in 1884, and later became vice
president of the Eldred Bank.
