Alfred Paul Gaudino, 91. pf Bath, New York. Jan 31, 1924 - Jul 12, 2015
Born in Reynoldsville, Pa to the late Antonio Gaudino and the late Jennie (Casteluccio) Gaudino.
Al joined the US Army in March 943,served in WWII including the Eastern-African-Middle Eastern Campaign and the Battle of the Bulge. Al was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and continued his military service to the country as member of the Army Reserves from Dec 1945 - until his birthday in 1984.
Al married Mary Ruth Hetrick on July 10, 1947.
Al is survived by his 12 children: Rose (Bill) Ormsby, Larry (Cindy) Gaudino, Colonel Richard (Nancy) Gaudino, Robert (Laurie) Gaudino, Jennie (Gaudino) Turner, Ronald (Debbie) Gaudino, Joseph (Miriam) Gaudino, Penny Gaudino, Teresa (Gaudino) Koehler, John (Janet) Gaudino, Jerome (Jill) Gaudino,and Delores (Gaudino) (Mike) Skelly; 34 grand children; 38 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Al was a devout Catholic, active member of St Mary's Church in Bath, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post #173 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW.
He retired from the Bath Veterans Administration and was employed several years at McDonough's and Bonady's Grocery store.
The viewing was held at Fagan's Funeral Home at 2:00-4:00pm, and 7Pm-8:30pm on Wednesday, July 15 2015. the funeral Mass of Christian burial took place at St Mary's Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the wounded warrior Project or the Bath American Legion. |
