Rollins, Morris H. (June 10, 1930 - May 5, 2014)
Morris H. Rollins, passed away peacefully at his home in Newport Beach, CA. He was born and raised in Arizona and graduated on a full scholarship from the U of A's School of Business where he was awarded Beta Gamma Sigma. He was a 1st Lt. in the Air Force during the Korean War and them moved to New York City to work for the future President of American Airlines and start his career in the computer world. He relocated to Los Angeles and worked for Arthur Andersen, Elden Industries, Teledyne Inc... and Unitrin where he retired as Corporate Director of Data Processing. He raised his family in Silverlake and retired in Newport Beach, CA. He was very thoughtful and always gave back including volunteering at Hoag Hospital, and donating blood (Gold Lifesaver Club). He loved his family, being by the beach, studying the stock market, gardening and reading. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marie Splawski-Rollings, three children: Mary (Gregg) Avery, Charles (Sara Brock) Rollings, Kathryn (Van) Rollins-Hazewinkel, and grandchildren: Amanda, Mark, Peter Joseph, Clayton. Private services were held at Pacific View. Donations may be made in his mane to Habitat for Humanity. |
