Almond, N.Y. — Beverly J. Trimble, 73, of 981 Karr Valley Rd., Almond, died unexpectedly Thursday evening (March 21, 2013) at St. James Mercy Hospital.

Born in North Hornell on June 26, 1939, she was the daughter of Cash and Edith (Thomas) Davison.

Beverly grew up in the Almond area and was a graduate of Alfred-Almond Central School (class of 1958). Following high school, she was employed for a time at Westinghouse in Bath and also Marion Rohr Corporation. She later worked for several years as a “packer” at Mullen Meat Processing. For about 15 years, Beverly operated “Tootsie” — an antique Co-Op located in “The Garage” in Angelica.

An exceptional seamstress and upholsterer, Beverly enjoyed re-finishing and upholstering furniture. Not only did she re-furbish most of her furniture in her home, she also made all of the draperies and other decorations. Beverly also loved working on the exterior of her home. She did all of the landscaping and even built a pond and a gazebo. No job was too big or too small.

Beverly enjoyed spending most of her time at her home. She loved being a mother and also absolutely adored being a “Nana” to her grandchildren. She made sure that she spent “one-on-one” time with each of her grandkids, making each and every one of them feel special.

She was married on Feb. 10, 1962, to Maxwell Aaron “Max” Trimble who died July 3, 1993.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Davison, Robert Davison and Melville “Bud” Davison; and two sisters, Carolyn Beard and Noreen Hall.

Surviving are two daughters, MaryAnn Trimble of Alfred Station, and Marci (Timothy Cheresnowsky) Trimble of Canisteo; one son, Monte (Denise Thompson) Trimble of Alfred Station; one sister, Eleanor Gosper of Angelica; six grandchildren, Abby Fancher, Ali Fancher, Emma Jiusto, Jack Jiusto, Natalie Trimble and Mia Trimble; with #7 grandchild, Evan Trimble is due in April; and several nieces and nephews.

The family of Beverly J. Trimble will receive friends on Tuesday from 2–4 p.m. and from 7–9 p.m. at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, N.Y., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Almond, N.Y.

Beverly’s family request that memorial contributions in her name be made to Give Kids The World, 210 South Bass Rd., Kissimmee, FL 34746. This is a wonderful charity that sends terminally ill children and their families to Disneyworld.
