ANGELICA — James R. “Jim” Miller, 73, of 72 Allegany Ave., went to be with his savior on Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2013) at the Wellsville Manor, where he enjoyed staying and received excellent care.

Born in Angelica, Jan. 13, 1940, the son of Robert and Carol (Lacey) Miller, he was a lifelong area resident. Jim had worked as truck driver for several years and retired as a heavy equipment operator at LaForge Construction in Wellsville. He was a 50-plus year member of the Angelica Fire Department. Jim enjoyed hunting, truck pulls, watching sports, and attending the Allegany County Fair.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Rogers Miller in 2011; his daughter, Carol Miller in 2011; his son, James P. Miller in 1978; his brother, Robert Miller in 2013; and his great-great-granddaughter, Brionna Levine.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Todd) Murphy of Angelica; his son, Raymond (Sonya) Miller of Belmont; his special friend and companion, Marie Coen of Angelica; three sisters, Linda Waite of Belmont, Mary Lou (Gordon) Stanton of Palmyra, and Sue Miller of Angelica; a brother, Ray (Sharon) Miller of Angelica; several grandchildren, including Hunter Murphy whom he was very close to, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will be present 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday (March 1, 2013), at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Ave., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. David Ford officiating.
