First Generation

1.  Peter RANSOM was born on 13 May 1831 in Quarryville, NY, died on 19 May 
       1897 at age 66, and was buried in Glenview Cemetery, Pulteney, Steuben 
       Co., NY. 

     Noted events in his life were:

     *  He served in the military 161st NY Inf. , Civil War. Enlisted in the 
        service Aug. 02, 1862 at Elmira, NY as a Private in Company A 161st NY 
        Inf. And served in the Civil War until Oct. 17, 1865 when he was 
        honorably discharged at Tallahassee, Florida.

  Peter married Elisabeth GARRISON. Elisabeth was born in 1833, died on 2 Jun 
      1867 at age 34, and was buried in Wheeler Cemetery, Wheeler, Steuben Co., 
      NY.

     Children from this marriage were:

  2 F     i. Emma RANSOM was born in 1857 in Ulster Co., NY, died on 23 May 
                   1876 at age 19, and was buried in Glenview Cemetery, 
                   Pulteney, Steuben Co., NY. 
  3 F    ii. Mary Frances RANSOM was born on 11 Nov 1859, died on 27 Dec 1934 
                   at age 75, and was buried in Glenview Cemetery, Pulteney, 
                   Steuben Co., NY. 
  4 F   iii. Ida Bell RANSOM was born in 1861, died in 1871 at age 10, and was 
                   buried in Wheeler Cemetery, Wheeler, Steuben Co., NY. 

  Peter next married Malinda TOMER, daughter of Webster TOMER and Adelsa Drake 
      SMITH, in 1873. Malinda was born on 23 Sep 1837 in NY, died on 13 Jan 
      1886 at age 48, and was buried in Glenview Cemetery, Pulteney, Steuben 
      Co., NY.

     The child from this marriage was:

       Prattsburg Rural Cemetery, Steuben Co., NY. 

  James married Alida ALBRIGHT, daughter of Judson C. ALBRIGHT and Frances M. 
      TAYLOR, on 16 Jan 1895. Alida was born on 1 Jul 1874 in NY, died on 16 
      Apr 1944 in Bath, Steuben Co., NY at age 69, and was buried in Prattsburg 
      Rural Cemetery, Steuben Co., NY.

  6 M     i. Francis Albright RANSOM was born on 19 Jul 1896 and died on 16 Mar 
                   1971 at age 74.

7.  Judson J. RANSOM was born on 5 Apr 1900 in Urbana Twp., Steuben Co., NY and 
       died on 23 Aug 1962 at age 62. 

  Judson married Clara Elizabeth KENNEDY, daughter of Herbert David KENNEDY and 
      Nellie Irene PARKER. Clara was born on 7 Mar 1903 in Prattsburg, Steuben 
      Co., NY and died on 22 Feb 1994 in Waterloo, Seneca Co., NY at age 90.
