Photos of the Town of Greenwood
Glass Plate Photos Submitted by Roger Wilson
Since they are all in one group, it is assumed that all are pictures of Greenwood places and people.
Do you recognize any of these folks?

First of all, your site is a favorite of mine and has been very helpful in my Steuben County research.

I am descended from the Kellogg and Davis families of Greenwood, NY.  My paternal grandmother is Eleanor Stevenson Butts; her parents, Robert Stevenson and Mabel Kellogg; Mabel's parents, Silas Kellogg and Thelestra Davis, both of Greenwood; and from there both families can be easily traced further back.

I can identify a few women on your page of "Town of Greenwood" photos, second to last row, right hand side, of the seven women in white dresses.

Seated at bottom right is my great-grandmother Mabel Kellogg or her twin sister, Gertrude.  Standing at top left is the other twin.  I believe there is another Kellogg sister to the right of the standing twin, but I'm not totally sure which one.

Might you be able to provide me with a larger version of the photo, as well as (possibly) contact the person who submitted it?

I also have a photo of Silas Kellogg, Thelestra Davis Kellogg, a man who I believe might be Redmond Davis (Thelestra's father), and seven out of nine of Silas and Thelestra's children posed in front of their house in Greenwood, which I would be happy to submit for your site.

Thanks for your time, and thanks again for hosting all this information.
