I recently purchased a water color painting by Mary White. On the reverse side of the backboard, was a family history dating back nine generations.  The first 5 had photographs of each matriarch, with their names and that of thier spouses.
  
The names with corresponding pictures are Helen Cooper White, Margaret Eberle Cooper, Eliza Burch Cooper, Elizabeth Evans 
Cooper, and Mary Erwin Cooper.  The last four listings date back to 1650.
