I'm writing to let you know about the Call Homestead Museum (formerly the Hartsville Museum and Historical Society) located in Steuben County, near the Allegany County line. We have a fine library of genealogy materials which is free and open to the public by appointment. Our regular hours are Sat. and Sun. from noon to 4 pm May through October. The phone number is (607) 698-4789. The museum features collections of furniture, tools, machines, sleighs, toys, etc. related to 19th and early 20th century farm life in rural western NY. I hope this information is helpful. Our brochure (with former hours) is located at

Thanks, Carla Coch
