Survived by his wife and daughter, Blakeslee Gale, and 2 brothers, Loring R. and George E. Gale of Brooklyn; also 2 sisters, Mrs. Fred Arundell and Mrs. Wm. Osborn of Brooklyn.
GALE, Loren R. Death 2-6-1913 Loren R. Gale, the last surviving son of W. Gale, after whom Galeton was named, died at his home in Riverdale. He was born at Windom, Greene Co., NY. in 1852. He came with his parents in 1880 where they started the Pine Creek tannery. He was manager of the tannery until 1897 when he moved to New York City. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Bentley of Honesdale in 1902 who survives with 2 children; Loring R. Jr. aged 10 and Lucille aged 7, also one sister, Mrs. W. F. Osborn. [2-6-1913 paper]

GALE, William McClure Death 05-23-1903 William McClure Gale, the founder of Galeton, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. F. Arundell, in Brooklyn, NY Sat., May 23, 1903, at the age of 84 years. Mr. Gale from boyhood was identified with the leather business, and after considerable successful experience in that line, he located the tannery at Galeton in 1880, one of the largest in the United States. Galeton was named in his honor and he lived there until six years ago, when he went to Brooklyn to reside. He is survived by five children: Loring R. Gale, Mrs. J. F. Arundell and Mrs. W. F. GILLON, Mark Death 08-24-1918 Mark Gillon of Coudersport died Aug. 24, 1918; born in County Mayo, Ireland. Married in 1856 to Miss Mary A. McHale in Manchester, Eng.; came to Coudersport in 1858. Survived by wife. They had 10 children, 2 dying young; and one son, Stephen H. Gillon died in 1906. Surviving children are: Mrs. Mary Costello of Bradford, George Gillon of DuBois, Edward, Kate, Nellie, Celia and Annabel of Coudersport.

Her husband, Jonathan Glase died about 16 years ago.

Married Jan. 18, 1866 to Nathaniel M. Glassmire who died June 12, 1899. Survived by a daughter, Mrs Adah Shay. Buried in Wellsboro beside her husband and 4 little ones who died in infancy.
GLAVIN, Julia (McCarthy) Death 03-10-1914 Mrs. Julia Glavin died March 10, 1914 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Quimby; born in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, June 20, 1824. Married in 1842 to James Harrington. They had 3 children: Thomas Harrington of Marion, Ind., John Harrington of Washington, D.C., & Mrs. E. J . Fickler of Coudersport. Married 2nd to William Glavin and they came to America in 1853. Three children survive this marriage: Mrs. Kate Ryan, Mrs. Mary Quimby of Coudersport, and William Glavin of Smethport. Three other children are deceased: Margaret, Edward & Eugene. Survived also by 2 brothers, Tim & Cal McCarthy of Smethport. Buried at Smethport, Pa.
