Walter Avery was found dead last Thursday [May
29, 1913] morning at the iron bridge near Kent’s
ice house. Heart failure is believed to have
caused his death. His body was taken to the home
of his brother Ansil Avery in Wellsboro and buried
there. He was 42 years old and is survived by his
mother, Mrs. Janet Avery of Elmira, a son; Walter
of Penn Yan and an uncle W. O. Avery of Galeton. |
