Moved from Onoville NY during Construction of the Kinzua Dam in 1964
This cemetery is with the Riverview cemetery & the Corydon cemetery. The
driveway to this cemetery is in New York,
but it cruves back into the PA line. The three cemeteries sit on the
banks over-looking the Alleghany river and is a beautiful sight.
The cemetery is all enclosed with a chain-link fence and well cared
for.
The map of the graves and names of the original cemetery were given
to me by George Plesko
retiree Corps of Engineers (Real Estate Division) in Pittsburgh.
The earliest known burial was 1836 and the latest 1930.
The cemetery was located on the Kinzua River between Corydon, PA, to
the west, and Kinzua, PA to the east.
The cemetery was inundated by the Allegheny Reservoir when Kinzua Dam
was built in 1964
